First Post!

In an effort to stay on top of communicating with everyone that is near and dear to our hearts, I thought it might be a good idea to set up a blog. Keith's in the shower right now, so I hope he agrees!

2006 has already sped by... is this what happens when you turn 30? I am just in awe that it's mid-March AND that it was snowing on the Bay Bridge last night. Yes, believe it or not, snow levels in Northern California are down to, I don't know, 100 feet?!

The big weekend event around our house is a new lamp that we purchased a month ago, which finally came in this week. I picked it up last night, and while it's cute and stylish (a little retro-mod) it's bigger than I'd imagined. We had found just the "perfect" table for it to live on about two weeks ago, but that was pre-lamp-is-in-at-EQ3 (I'm not even going to recommend this place, the ordering process was horrific). Here's a shot of the little table... Anyway, long story short, the table IS too short. Alas, the light is going to have to find a new home. For those of you that have been to our apartment, love your suggestions! In other news, work is busy for both of us. Keith's been white-paging, conference-calling, and presentation-making for what seems like hours on end. I'm sure he can elaborate further! I've been in the beginning stages of renovation-hell, oops, I mean renovation-wonderland. Am truly excited to have a new guestroom/lobby/meeting space/potentially new restaurant, however, the "getting there" is tough. My sales team is losing steam (we've been working on this renovation since July!) but the elevators and bathroom fixtures, I'm pleased to report, are finally ordered. The new owners of my hotel are not traditional hoteliers, they are investors that buy distressed companies/properties - so their sense of urgency is not really on par with our Executive team's. We. Will. Get. There. I just know it. But it's a drawn out process, and frustrating at times.

Well - we're off to enjoy a Saturday in our lovely City by the Bay. Let's hope it doesn't snow.
