Dog Day Afternoon

Saturday was supposed to have been a picnic /dog party in this great park, Crissy Field, for dog owners and lovers from my company. I had been looking forward to it for weeks! Unfortunately, it was canceled at the last minute with an email I didn't receive. Ah well. Keith and I enjoyed our Safeway picnic... and a view of another kind of "dog".

Today, Sunday, we tooled around in the car, got caught in a massive downpour, and were incredibly pleased not to be getting dripped on in the new car!

Mini ME!

The exciting news around our house this weekend is the purchase of my new car! Finally. The Miata was fun (and had it's own unique challenges I could never have imagined), but I figure that I needed to get myself into a "big girl" car. You know, one that actually has a secure trunk and a few airbags. Keith accompanied me to the dealership in San Jose, and honestly, it was one of the best car buying experiences of my life. Great salesperson, no hassle. The car is a 2003... and hold your breath, has just 11,000 miles. It's been meticulously cared for and I couldn't be happier with the way it runs, accelerates and the fact that I can control the stereo volume from my steering wheel. I love it!

To the mothers in our lives, happy Mother's Day!
