Halloween '06: Project Runway

If you didn't know, we really get in to our Halloween costumes. We've gone to this party for the past 3 years, where basically you don't get in the door without a costume on, and everyone looks amazing. It's like a serious competitive sport! In staying with our theme of doing a "current event", we went as two of the contestants on "Project Runway". Just enough people knew who we were and we left a lot guessing for a while. As I am a fan of giant props, most of yesterday was spent crafting our large scissors, needle and thread. All turned out well, as you can see! So, if you watch the show, do you know who we are?

The other couple that loves coming in character as a current event truly outdid themselves this year. PC? No way. But hilarious.

Newness

There is a lot of new, fun stuff happening in San Francisco right now! First of all, have you heard about the Galleria Park Hotel’s extremely gorgeous and brand new lobby? It’s the talk of the town, well at least, our part of town.

So here are some photos of the finished product – they are photos I took, so aren’t up to ‘professional’ quality. But they’ll work! I have to admit, after all this time, to actually have a stunning lobby greet you every morning did truly bring me to tears. I think our two designers, who were placing furniture in the lobby when I “just couldn’t wait” another second to see the process in action, will always remember me coming off the elevator and bursting into tears of joy. Such an integral part of our guest’s arrival experience, and so much fun to sell!

The other new, fun thing happening in our life is the addition to our household of the most amazing kitchen gadget since the toaster (which is a close relative of sliced bread, as you know). If you are a coffee-lover, you simply must own a… Tassimo! Keith was a little skeptical, but now he’s loving the morning latte-fix at home as much as me. Seriously, buy one.
