Hotels and other stuff

This weekend, Keith and I will celebrate our 6th anniversary (of our first date, which is one WAY long date!). We're checking out the newest hotel in San Francisco, the St. Regis. We got a pretty good deal, as my former Director of Sales from Park Hyatt is now there. The rooms are amazing, great views and the restaurant is highly acclaimed. We're excited.

As I'm on the hotel thread, thought I would share my hotel's new look with everyone. We've finally gotten a complete date of October 17th. Oddly enough, this date also coincides with the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake... I'm hoping that this really doesn't mean anything except our contractors are quick.

I just finished this great book called "1906: A Novel" by James Dalessandro. April 18th, 2006, is the 100th anniversary of the great San Francisco Earthquake and Fire. The book was a good read, and I highly recommend checking it out. However, if you are anything like me, be warned. I am now pretty much scared of every bump in the road, small shake in our offices at work and the occasional fire sirens we hear from the apartment. Anyway...

Hope you have a great weekend! I've just realized by looking at the two photos above, when you're out and about this weekend - you should probably buy a throw for the end of your bed. Very in vogue.
